Weather & Seasons

What is the weather like in Summer vs. Winter in Bhutan, and when is the best time for this tour?

Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November) offer the ultimate riding weather with crystal-clear skies, panoramic Himalayan views, and mild daytime temperatures ranging between 15°C and 22°C.

In Winter (December to February), days are crisp and sunny with sharp blue skies, but temperatures drop significantly at night (0°C to 5°C), and high mountain passes like Dochula (3,100m) and Chele La (3,988m) can experience freezing winds and frost. Summer (June to August) brings the monsoon season with lush green landscapes and vibrant flora, but rain showers and wet tarmac require rain liners and disciplined cornering.

"The Bhutan motorcycle cross-border tour was nothing short of epic! Riding up the switchbacks to Dochula and Chele La pass (3,988m) on Himalayan bikes was an adrenaline rush. The backup mechanic truck, luggage van, and our road captain were phenomenal!"
